WEEKEND SUCCESSES
Overview
Unlike the CLVP Tier I level, most athletes in the Tier 2 & Tier 3 events will not go on and play at the collegiate level. These athletes are looking for an enjoyable experience, a chance to improve their skills for the school season, or just an opportunity to be active and play with their friends. CLVP shares the same goals of the recipients, showing why the Tier 2 & Tier 3 event format model is unique and individualized for this level. Tier 2 level is for lower Club & Classic level teams. Tier 3 level is for Regional / Non-Travel level teams.
Tier 2 & 3 Weekend
The entire weekend will consist of eight hours of competitive competition allowing players and teams more than twice the number of match play reps they would normally receive at a two day tournament.
Saturday - Sessions 1 and 2
Each Tier 2 & Tier 3 weekend is broken into 3 sessions of play. Session 1 provides a great deal of high rep 6 vs.6 play, where all players will be able to receive significant playing time in a wide variety of challenging match play situations. Session 2 will be a series of short games against several opponents to allow coaches to use multiple lineups against numerous opponents.
Sunday - Session 3
On Sunday, session 3 will be match play format with teams divided into competitive divisions playing bracket or pool play to find a champion for each division.
